The story begins with Astrid, a 30-something woman living in an unnamed Nordic city that looks a lot like Helsinki, the capital of Finland. A change is coming, she can smell it in the air. The angels are plotting something, and she fears she will have a part to play. On the Side of the Angels features 238 hand-painted pages that tell an urban fantasy story of Astrid and her angels, who are not entirely good, if not really evil, either.
On the Side of the Nephilim
The story continues in On the Side of the Nephilim, where five characters, some new and some familiar, continue their lives after the events of the first book in five separate but connected episodes. The characters all find themselves choosing sides with the Nephilim, who are not entirely good, if not really evil, either.
On the Side of Man
The third book has started, but the finish is in the distant future, or perhaps an alternate universe. You can find the beginnings here, though.
